Meet your mechanic

My name is Stephen Hotchkiss, and I’m the owner and mechanic of Hotchkiss Services.

What started as an unexpected change in direction became a business I’m truly proud of. In 2023, I was injured in a motorcycle accident that kept me away from my day job for more than six months. During that time, I turned to something I’ve always had a passion for- working on cars and trucks.

As a certified and trained Heavy Truck & Trailer Technician, I’ve spent years working with large commercial vehicles and developing the skills, knowledge, and attention to detail that come with the trade. I’ve also had what might be considered an unhealthy passion for cars and trucks since I was young, so making the transition from tractor-trailers to cars and pickups came naturally.

What began with small repair jobs for friends and family quickly grew through word of mouth, with people I had never met reaching out for help with their vehicles. In early 2024, we took the next step and officially formed our LLC and became a Michigan Registered Repair Facility.

Today, Hotchkiss Services is licensed and insured, and we’re focused on building a business that our community can trust. Our goal is simple: provide quality vehicle repairs, honest recommendations, and fair pricing while treating every customer with the respect they deserve.
